The long hang time gave a beautiful ripeness with layers of fruit and sweet mature tannins. Rich warm aromas of cigar box, creamy vanilla and damp earth, gives way to a lush and generous mouth full of ripe plum and sweet cherries. White Wine by No Curfew by Amici from California. The aromas of this wine are laced with green apple, pear and melon which melds seamlessly with a hint of buttery oak. the lush initial mouth feel leads nicely into a mid-palate with excellent structure and balanced acidity.
Red Wine by Ironstone from California. If you love a big, red wine, the 2016 Petite Sirah is a must have. Succulent and rich, its deep, dark purple inky color leads way to bold aromas of warm berry pie and loads of blueberry mixed with vanilla and a light pepper spice. Its full flavor of lush berries mixed with dark chocolate, warm cedar and vanilla gives way to a delightfully smooth finish with moderate tannins. The Petite Sirah is a perfect wine to serve with dishes like veal saltimbocca or braised beef with winter vegetables. You can also try it with other dishes that contain a variety of mushrooms. The Kautz Family grows these Petite Sirah grapes in their Teichert Ranch vineyard in the Sloughouse sub-appellation of the Lodi AVA. White Wine by Baron Herzog from California. Baron Herzog Chardonnay is blended using grapes grown in Clarksburg's warm sunlight and cooled by the evening breeze of the San Francisco Bay. This blend has produced a very lush and complex wine, displaying notes of tropical fruit, citrus and apple with a long finish. Serve chilled with roasted Cornish game hen with lemon and tarragon, veal piccata or poached salmon.
